 Dear Friend: The year has started out quite busy. The team is working hard in preparation for an upcoming historical outreach--The DeafNation World Expo--that takes place July 18-23, 2010 in Las Vegas. This will be THE largest, and without a doubt, the most far reaching, yet expensive outreach we've ever been a part of. One of the most successful evangelistic outreaches through the years has been attending Deaf Expos all over the country where we set up a large booth and share the love of Jesus with the Deaf. We do this by sharing one-on-one about how to know Jesus; and in addition, we give away FREE Gospel Bags. Each Gospel Bag contains a Picture Bible, a Simple English Bible and several tracts. We've given away hundreds of thousands of Bibles and tracts, and as a result thousands of Deaf people have come to know Jesus as their personal Savior.
We've estimated it's going to cost $20,000 to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime evangelistic opportunity. This will cover the expenses for the thousands of Bibles and tracts we need to purchase for the Gospel Bags. It also includes the cost to ship the Gospel Bags to Las Vegas, registration and booth fees, plus transportation and hotel expenses for the staff. We need a financial miracle to participate in the DeafNation World Expo this July 18-23. When We are so very excited about this outreach opportunity, and even more so, since my health has been improving. I was very seriously ill with Lyme Disease and was deteriorating quickly. But thank God for leading me to a wonderful Christian doctor in Wichita, Kansas who's been treating me for Lyme Disease. For the first time in several years I finally have energy and my body is healing. I know many people were and continue to pray for me, and I appreciate that so much. Now that I'm feeling better we are working hard to prepare for the DeafNation World Expo. Unfortunately we're off to a late start, but I believe God wants us there! It's going to be quite a challenge to raise the money we need and to get completely prepared for this Worldwide evangelistic outreach. That's why I've opened my heart to you. This is a very unique opportunity we have to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with thousands of Deaf people from countries throughout the world who will attend. I believe this is going to be the most important outreach to the Deaf we've ever been involved in. We cannot do this alone. We need many others to join with us if we are going to make this magnificent evangelistic outreach become a reality. Just think of all the Deaf people who will be attending this largest Deaf event ever--from India, Russia, China, Indonesia, Bolivia, Finland, Africa, Mexico, Venezuela and many, many other countries. If the Lord leads you please pray for us and also seek God about making a donation specified to the "DeafNation Outreach" this month. When making contributions, be sure to write a memo or send a note with the check saying "DeafNation Outreach". All funds designated will go to this historic outreach. Of course, all donations are tax deductible and we will mail a receipt for income tax purposes.

decided to participate in Deaf Way ll raising the funds
for that evangelistic outreach was one of the biggest
challenges we ever faced in this ministry, but our
faithful God made it happen! I believe this new
evangelistic opportunity before us--which is an even
bigger financial challenge than Deaf Way II--is another
opportunity for our God to show Himself faithful. When we
were planning for Deaf Way ll we had two years to prepare
for it. Unfortunately, because I experienced some health
issues (I share about that below) we were not able to
move forward months ago planning for the DeafNation World
Expo as we would have liked. It's going to be quite a
challenge to raise $20,000 in just a few months. In the
natural this is an almost impossible task, but doesn't
the Bible say, "Nothing is impossible with
God"?
