THE LEDGER SERIES
Artist Toby Hughes has taken his talents to new heights. He has started a series of original artwork that has been titled "The Ledger Series," being that the artwork stems from an old Keetoowah Ledger. Pages from the ledger have been copied on high quality card stock paper and Toby has used that as the background to his original artwork. Each drawing depicts what was written on the page in the old Cherokee language. These pieces of artwork are original, done in pencil, pen and color pencil, with tattered edges. Each piece is one of a kind, signed and comes with a written description explaining the subject matter in each picture. Approx. Size 8 X 10
THE PRAYER
A traditional Keetoowah prays to God, Creator of all, at the time when missionaries are trying to change the Keetoowah beliefs, calling him a heathen and savage, trying to persuade him into a life of Christian religion.
