Chrysler PT Cruiser was a concept that fit right in.  When I first</B></div> <div> <B>saw some on the street I knew right away I'd have to own one someday.  Well, one</B></div> <div> <B>turned into a different one, which morphed into two and it went from there.</B></div> <div> <B>In May 2007 I bought the '88 Jag XJS from a friend in Houston.  It had been sitting</B></div> <div> <B>idle for several years and needed a lot of restoration work.  While it was getting</B></div> <div> <B>some TLC from the good folks at </B><FONT SIZE="2" COLOR="#663300" FACE="Arial" ><A HREF="http://www.eurotechjag.com" TARGET="_top" TITLE="http://www.eurotechjag.com"><U><B>EURO-TECH</B></U></A></FONT><I><B>,</B></I><B> they let me drive the '98 Vanden Plas</B></div> <div> <B>for a few days.  It liked me so well I bought it, and it's now my daily driver.</B></div> <div> <B>I enjoy road trips and exploring old highways, especially Route 66, but any</B></div> <div> <B>abandoned section of old highway piques my interest.  I also like to explore</B></div> <div> <B>old bridges and buildings.  I've collected a bit of transportation memorabilia,</B></div> <div> <B>including old road maps, some dating back to the 1920's.  My 'crown jewel' is</B></div> <div> <B>an authentic 66 sign, which marked the Mother Road in Illinois from 1960 to 1985.</B></div> <div> <B>In high school I drove a 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe like the ones below.  It was</B></div> <div> <B>Seafoam Green and had a few of the modern options of its day, including an AM</B></div> <div> <B>radio, rear window shades and a windshield visor.  It didn't have turn signals, which</B></div> <div> <B>were listed as a $20 option.  One of the things I remember well is the vacuum-powered</B></div> <div> <B>wipers that didn't work all that great.  The old Plymouth stayed in our family until</B></div> <div> <B>the summer of 1994.  The last I heard it was still running.</B></div> <div> <I><B><IMG
