CARTER COUNTY EXCISE BOARD

 

The Carter County Excise Board held a regular meeting on December 7, 2009 at 1:30 PM in the Carter County Commissioners Board Room.  The meeting was called to order by Sappington.  Roll Call: Sappington, present - Alexander, present – Loder, absent. The minutes were taken by Cynthia Harmon.

 

Alexander made a motion to approve the agenda, second by Sappington.  Vote: Sappington, yes – Alexander, yes.

 

No public comments were made

 

Alexander made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held on November 9, 2009 second by Sappington.  Vote: Sappington, yes – Alexander, yes.

 

Alexander made a motion to approve the meeting dates for 2010 for the Excise Board as January 12, February 16, March 9, April 6, May 11, June 8, June 29, July 1, July 12, August 10, September 7, October 12, November 9 and December 7, second  by Sappington.  Vote: Sappington, yes – Alexander, yes.

 

Alexander made a motion to approve the meeting dates for 2010 for the Equalization Board as April 1 and May 28, second by Sappington.  Vote: Sappington, yes – Alexander, yes.

 

Alexander made a motion to approve the holidays for 2010 for Carter County (see attached), second by Sappington.  Vote: Sappington, yes – Alexander, yes.

 

Alexander made a motion to approve following lapsed balances from FY 2008-2009 into 2009-2010, second by Sappington.  Vote: Sappington, yes – Alexander, yes.

Two transfers were submitted to the Board.  1) Fire Department Sales Tax M&O into Capital Outlay for $150,000.00 and 2)County General M&O into Capital Outlay for $2,600.00.
