CARTER COUNTY EXCISE BOARD

 

The Carter County Excise Board held a regular meeting on January 12, 2009 at 1:30 PM in the Carter County Commissioners Board Room.  The meeting was called to order by Sappington.  Roll Call: Sappington, present - Brown, absent – Alexander, present.  The minutes were taken by Cynthia Harmon.

 

Sappington made a motion to approve the agenda, second by Alexander.  Vote: Sappington, yes – Alexander, yes.

 

No public comments were made

 

Alexander made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held on December 8, 2008 second by Sappington.  Vote: Sappington, yes – Alexander, yes.

 

Alexander made a motion to elect Glenn Sappington as Chairman and Joy Alexander as Vice Chairman, second by Sappington.  Vote:  Sappington, yes – Alexander, yes.

 

Alexander made a motion to approve the following appropriations, second by Sappington.  Vote: Sappington, yes – Alexander, yes.

Five transfers were submitted to the Board.  1) Visual Inspection M&O into Personal Service for $16,000.00 2) Fire Sales Tax M&O

into Capital Outlay for $300,000.00 3) OSU Extension M&O into Travel for $10,000.00 4) Assessor Revolving Fees Personal Services

 into M&O for $9,100.56 5) District 1 M&O into County Commissioners M&O for $90.00.

 

No new business was submitted.

 

Sappington made a motion to adjourn, second by Alexander.  Vote: Sappington, yes – Alexander, yes.
