The agenda for the meeting was timed stamped May 22, 2009 at 8:41 AM in the County Clerk's Office and can be seen Monday thru Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00 PM. The agenda was posted on the south door of the Carter County Commissioners Office on the Court House Annex.
The meeting was called to order by Bill McLaughlin at 9:00 AM. Members present were Bill McLaughlin, Kevin Robinson and Dale Ott. Minutes were taken by Cynthia Harmon, Carter County Clerk. Others present at the meeting were Jerry Benson and Michael T Reynolds.
Robinson made a motion to approve the agenda second by McLaughlin. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
No public comments were made.
Ott made a motion to take no action the minutes of the regular meeting held on May 18, 2009 second by McLaughlin. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
McLaughlin made a motion to approve a resolution from District #1 to deem a 1979 Belshee trailer serial number 8128 and a 1993 Ford Pickup serial number 1FTEX14H4PKB17151 as surplus, second by Robinson. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
Robinson made a motion to advertise for bids county property located at Ardmore Lots and Blocks, Block 496 the north 40 of the south 80 of Lot 4, second by Ott. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
Robinson made a motion to approve the plat for Hometown Addition with the understanding the county will not maintain the roads in the addition, second by Ott. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
Ott made a motion to advertise for bids for a 4000 gallon water tanker, second by Robinson. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
McLaughlin made a motion to approve payroll for all county employees, second by Robinson. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
Ott made a motion to take no action on county officer reports, second by Robinson. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
Ott made a motion to reject the bids received from Chief and Casco for the bunker and wild land gear and rebid, second by Robinson. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
Robinson made a motion to approve a transfer from the court clerk personal services into the travel for $850.00, second by Ott. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
Ott made a motion to approve resolution to sell 4 sheriff vehicles 1) 2006 GNC X-Cab Pickup serial #1GTEK19B56Z232219 to Love County Sheriff, 2) 2005 Ford Crown Vic Police Car serial#2FAFP71WX5X123384 to Lone Grove Police, 3) 2007 Chevy X-Cab ½ ton Pickup Truck serial #1GCEK192972153702 to Lone Grove Police 4) 2006 Ford Crown Vic Police Car serial #2FAFP71W56X123181 to Lone Grove Police, second by Robinson. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
Ott made a motion to approve the requisitions for county highway, general government and all cash accounts, second by McLaughlin. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
Ott made a motion to approve the purchase orders for county highway, general government and all cash accounts, second by McLaughlin. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
No new business was discussed.
