The agenda for the meeting was timed stamped April 17, 2009 at 8:59 AM in the County Clerk's Office and can be seen Monday thru Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00 PM. The agenda was posted on the south door of the Carter County Commissioners Office on the Court House Annex.

 

The meeting was called to order by Bill McLaughlin at 9:00 AM. Members present were Bill McLaughlin, Kevin Robinson and Dale Ott. Minutes were taken by Cynthia Harmon, Carter County Clerk. Others present at the meeting were Jerry Benson, David Gilley, Lisa Stewart, Sharon Ford, Denny Kinder and Steve Chamberlin.

 

McLaughlin made a motion to approve the agenda second by Ott.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

No public comments were made.  

 

McLaughlin made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held on April 13, 2009 second by Ott.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

McLaughlin made a motion not issue the burn ban for seven days for Carter County, second by Ott.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

Ott made a motion to approve the low bid for the Trackhoe from Kirby Smith in the amount of $153,441.00 for a 2009 Komatsu Model PC200LC-8, second by Robinson.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.  Other bids received were from Warren Cat for a Caterpillar Model 320DL for $159,430.00 and from CL Boyd for a 2009 John Deere 200D for $170,993.00.

 

Ott made a motion to approve the bids for the End Dump Trailers from Jackie Anderson for 2 End Dump Trailers: 1 1986 Cherokee Dump 22 ft for $12,000.00 for District #3 and 1 1979 Cherokee Dump 22 ft for $10,000.00 for District #1, second by McLaughlin.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

Robinson made a motion to approve the agreement with the City of Ardmore on the Jag Program Grant with the County receiving $27,582.00, second by Ott.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

McLaughlin made a motion to approve the county officer report from the District Attorney second by Robinson. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

McLaughlin made a motion to approve the requisitions for county highway, general government and all cash accounts, second by Ott.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

McLaughlin made a motion to approve the purchase orders for county highway, general government and all cash accounts, second by Ott. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

No new business was discussed.

 

Robinson made a motion to adjourn second by Ott.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
