The agenda for the meeting was timed stamped April 3, 2009 at 8:54 AM in the County Clerk's Office and can be seen Monday thru Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00 PM. The agenda was posted on the south door of the Carter County Commissioners Office on the Court House Annex.

 

The meeting was called to order by Bill McLaughlin at 9:00 AM. Members present were Bill McLaughlin, Kevin Robinson and Dale Ott. Minutes were taken by Cynthia Harmon, Carter County Clerk. Others present at the meeting were Jerry Benson, David Gilley and Mike Andrews.

 

McLaughlin made a motion to approve the agenda second by Robinson.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

No public comments were made.  

 

McLaughlin made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held on March 30, 2009 second by Ott.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

McLaughlin made a motion not issue the burn ban for seven days for Carter County, second by Ott.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

McLaughlin made a motion to approve a resolution to dispose of and sell a 2007 Ford Crown Vic serial #2FAFP71W87X135567 to Marshall County Sheriff for $12,500.00, second by Robinson.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

Ott made a motion to approve the county inventory maps presented by Mike Andrews of ODOT with 872.55 miles of roads in Carter County, District 1 has 239.88, District 2 has 334.23 and District 3 has 298.44, second by Robinson.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

Ott made a motion to advertise for bids for a Trackhoe, second by Robinson.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

Ott made a motion to table the 2 bids received for ammunition from Jerry’s Gun Shop for $37,221.00 and from GT Distributors for $34,196.97, second by Robinson.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

McLaughlin made a motion to approve a transfer from County General Sales Tax M&O into Capital Outlay for $16,180.00, second by Ott.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

Ott made a motion to approve advertising for bids county property located at Ardmore Lots & Blocks, Block 443 part of Lots 6 & 7, Block 201 part of Lot 5, Block 438 part of Lots 1 &2, Block 406 part of Lots 7 & 8, Block 389 part of Lots 12 and 13, second by McLaughlin.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

McLaughlin made a motion to approve the following monthly appropriations, second by Robinson.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

McLaughlin made a motion to approve county officer report from the County Clerk, County Treasurer, the Election Board, the County Assessor, the Sheriff, the Court Clerk and E911 second by Ott. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

Ott made a motion to approve the requisitions for county highway, general government and all cash accounts, second by McLaughlin.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

McLaughlin made a motion to approve the purchase orders for county highway, general government and all cash accounts, second by Ott. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

No new business was discussed.

 

Robinson made a motion to adjourn second by McLaughlin.  Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
