The agenda for the meeting was timed stamped April 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the County Clerk's Office and can be seen Monday thru Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00 PM. The agenda was posted on the south door of the Carter County Commissioners Office on the Court House Annex.
The meeting was called to order by Bill McLaughlin at 9:00 AM. Members present were Bill McLaughlin, Kevin Robinson and Dale Ott. Minutes were taken by Cynthia Harmon, Carter County Clerk. Others present at the meeting were Jerry Benson, Kathleen Shingledecter, Charles M Baird, Marianne B Elfert, Linda Pryor, Terri Downs, Ken Grace, Dee McGee, John Bright, Lew Gridley, Lisa Stewart and Ed Reed.
McLaughlin made a motion to approve the agenda second by Ott. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
No public comments were made.
Kathleen Shingledecter and Charles M Baird asked for an explanation from the Commissioners and the City Manager about the clean up and the monies received from FEMA and who would receive the monies. After much discussion FEMA and State officials agreed that the monies given to Lone Grove could be paid to the county after they received all the documentation necessary for FEMA and the State. They agreed that the county would draw up a contract with the city so they could bill for the labor. The Commissioners agreed that any monies not reimbursed by the State or FEMA that the county would absorb the cost.
Robinson made a motion to adjourn, second by Ott. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
