The agenda for the meeting was timed stamped February 9, 2009 at 8:37 AM in the County Clerk's Office and can be seen Monday thru Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00 PM. The agenda was posted on the south door of the Carter County Commissioners Office on the Court House Annex.

 

The meeting was called to order by Bill McLaughlin at 9:00 AM. Members present were Dale Ott, Bill McLaughlin and Kevin Robinson. Minutes were taken by Cynthia Harmon, Carter County Clerk. Others present at the meeting were Jerry Benson and John Ryan.

 

Ott made a motion to approve the agenda second by McLaughlin.  Vote: Ott, McLaughlin and Robinson vote yes.

 

No public comments were made.

 

McLaughlin made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held on February 2, 2009 second by Ott.  Vote:  McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

McLaughlin made a motion to take no action declaring a burn ban for seven days for Carter County, second by Ott.  Vote:  McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

McLaughlin made a motion to approve advertising for bid county property located at Ardmore Lots and Blocks, Block 15 Lot 5 and Block 394 W/2 of Lot 5 and Roy Allen Re-Sub Block 69 Lot 2, second by Ott.  Vote:  McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

Ott made a motion to approve declaring as surplus the following equipment from District #3: 1991 Freightliner serial # 1FUYDCYB8HM392451, 1991 Freightliner serial # 1FUYDCUB2MH392459, 1991 Freightliner serial #1FUYDCYB7MH392456, JD Tractor 6415 serial #68183, Diamond Rotary Mower serial #2026, JD Tractor 6310 serial # L06310H257356, Tiger Rotary Mower, serial # T5114/MK2285, Dynapac Steel Wheel Roller, serial #303D25, 1965 Corbett Water Tanker serial #65126F, 1966 Fruehauf Water Tanker serial # 363117 second by Robinson.  Vote:  McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

Ott made a motion to approve the transfer from Visual Inspection Travel into County Commissioner Travel in the amount of $285.48, second by McLaughlin.  Vote:  McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

McLaughlin made a motion to approve the following monthly appropriations, second by Ott.  Vote:  McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

Robinson made a motion to approve the county officer reports from the Election Board, the County Assessor, the Court Clerk, the County Treasurer, the Sheriff Department and the County Clerk second by McLaughlin. Vote:  McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

McLaughlin made a motion to approve the requisitions for county highway, general government and all cash accounts, second by Ott.  Vote: Ott, McLaughlin and Robinson vote yes.

 

Robinson made a motion to approve the purchase orders for county highway, general government and all cash accounts, second by McLaughlin. Vote:  McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

New business was discussed. Bids were opened for the Fire Department Pumpers. One bid was received from Chief Fire and Safety. 1 for Ardmore was $247,597.00 – 1 for Healdton was $244,479.00 – 1 for Sneed was $267,257.00 and one for Ratliff City was $263,955.00 Ott made a motion to table, second by Robinson. 

 

Vote:  McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.

 

Robinson made a motion to adjourn second by McLaughlin.  Vote:  McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
