The agenda for the meeting was timed stamped January 30, 2009 at 8:36 AM in the County Clerk's Office and can be seen Monday thru Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00 PM. The agenda was posted on the south door of the Carter County Commissioners Office on the Court House Annex.
The meeting was called to order by Bill McLaughlin at 9:00 AM. Members present were Dale Ott, Bill McLaughlin and Kevin Robinson. Minutes were taken by Cynthia Harmon, Carter County Clerk. Others present at the meeting were Jerry Benson and Shelly Stahlbusch.
Ott made a motion to approve the agenda second by McLaughlin. Vote: Ott, McLaughlin and Robinson vote yes.
No public comments were made.
McLaughlin made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held on January 26, 2009 second by Ott. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
McLaughlin made a motion to not to extend the burn ban for an additional seven days, second by Ott. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
Robinson made a motion to approve the recommendation from the E911 committee and appointed Theresa Jackson to the vacant spot on the committee to represent the City of Healdton, second by Ott. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
Ott made a motion to approve a stimulus package for the North Newport Project, second by Robinson. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
McLaughlin made a motion to approve declaring a 1984 Cat Dozer serial # 4X2783 as Surplus from District One, second by Ott. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
McLaughlin made a motion to approve advertising for bid county property located at Ardmore Lots and Blocks, Block 317 Lot 8 and Block 261 W/2 of Lot 2, second by Robinson. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
Robinson made a motion to approve declaring as surplus the following equipment from District #2: 1993 Champion Motor Grader 4WD serial # 720A187145422998, 1989 770BH John Deere Motor Grader serial # 524957, 580SK Case Backhoe/Loader serial # JJG0167035, 2001 Ford Crew Cab Pickup serial # 1FTNW21L91EC84516, 1994 Galion PD784 Vibratory Soil Compactor serial #452115, 1998 50 Ton Atoka Lowboy Trailer serial #1A9LB3538WA245597, second by Ott. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
Robinson made a motion to approve the county officer reports from the District Attorney and Health Department second by McLaughlin. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
Ott made a motion to approve the requisitions for county highway, general government and all cash accounts, second by Robinson. Vote: Ott, McLaughlin and Robinson vote yes.
Ott made a motion to approve the purchase orders for county highway, general government and all cash accounts, second by McLaughlin. Vote: McLaughlin, Robinson and Ott vote yes.
No new business was discussed.
